Advantech Introduces the TPC-200W Series, Bringing Qualcomm- Powered Edge AI to Next-Generation HMIs

Taipei, Taiwan, Sept, 2026 — Advantech (TWSE: 2395), a global leader in industrial IoT and edge computing, today announced the TPC-200W Series, a compact smart panel PC powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ QCS6490 Processor. The TPC-200W Series, incorporates the Dragonwing QCS6490 Processor, which is designed to support up to 12 dense TOPS of on-device AI processing capability and multi-OS support including Windows 11 LTSC. The TPC-200W Series brings power-efficient intelligence directly to the human-machine interface (HMI), enabling faster local response and more flexible deployment across smart manufacturing and other edge AI applications.

The TPC-200W Series, Advantech's first HMI platform based on Dragonwing solutions, extends the power efficiency of Dragonwing processors across its industrial panel PC portfolio. The Dragonwing QCS6490 Processor integrates a neural processing unit (NPU) designed to deliver up to 12 TOPS of ondevice AI performance, together with an octa-core Qualcomm® Kryo™ 670 CPU and Qualcomm® Adreno™ 812Mhz GPU to support responsive HMI operation and local AI inference. By processing data and AI workloads locally, the TPC-200W Series helps reduce reliance on cloud connectivity while supporting real-time decision-making at the edge.

The TPC-200W Series supports Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC, Linux Yocto, and Android, providing manufacturers with greater flexibility to align the platform with existing software environments. Building on Advantech's Arm-based HMI portfolio, the TPC-200W Series introduces Windows support for customers using Windows-based HMI software, legacy applications, and established operational toolchains. This enables users to adopt a power-efficient Arm-based edge AI platform while minimizing changes to their existing software architecture.

Advantech is also developing a roadmap of on-device AI interaction capabilities for the TPC-200W Series using the Qualcomm® AI Engine and the MLOps platform from Edge Impulse. Planned capabilities include hands-free voice recognition for operators whose hands are occupied or gloved, camera-based personnel and equipment identification for site safety and access control, and Time-of- Flight (ToF) gesture recognition for touchless operation in hygiene-sensitive environments. By running inference locally, these capabilities are designed to deliver real-time response without depending on continuous cloud connectivity. The planned features remain under development and are targeted for a future TPC-200W AI model, leveraging Qualcomm® SDKs, the Qualcomm® AI Hub model library, and Advantech's edge AI development resources.

The power-efficient architecture of the TPC-200W Series is engineered for reliable, low-maintenance operation in industrial environments. The panel supports an operating temperature range of -10°C to 50°C and withstands 10G shock for 11 ms in accordance with IEC 60068-2-27. Its IP66-rated design provides protection against dust and water, supporting continuous deployment on factory floors and in other demanding edge environments.

The standard TPC-200W configuration is available now in 10.1-inch and 15.6-inch display sizes.
